The study aims to find out the relationship between self-esteem and academic performance of Criminology students of University of Mindanao Digos College. The study employed a descriptive correlational method of research wherein an adapted validated questionnaire is administered to 116 respondents. Results of the study reveal the following: (1) the Criminology students have a high level of self-esteem; and (2) the respondents have a fair level of academic performance. Moreover, though correlation method, it is found out that there is no significant relationship between self-esteem and academic performance. As such, this study recommends that school administrators ought to figure new procedures and techniques that will further enhance the academic performance of the students and students should be highly encouraged to partake in school programs that would enhance their self-esteem as well as their academic performance in school.
