dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to find out the effect of the implementation of Oplan Double Barrel of the Philippine National Police in Municipality of Hagonoy before, during and after implementing this campaign. The study was anchored in Gold and Coghlan's theory (1976) named as CAP or Cognitive Affective Pharmacogenic which manage the theory about addiction. The drug abuser intellectual style is viewed as the fundamental factor in a person's moving to tranquilize manhandle from drug experimentation. The CAP control theory conceives that the abuse process started with conflicts as predisposing factors which bind the drug abusers with cognitive approach. It is also conducted using descriptive survey method of research. The data and analysis of findings were analyzed according to age, sex, and nature of involvement shows that when the Oplan Double Barrel took effect, many drug personalities have voluntarily surrendered their selves in the proper authority. There are, however, no reported drug surrenderers before its implementation. In terms of age, ages 20 to 39 years old which has the most noteworthy number of surrenderers of 698 which is proportional to 72.18%. The male drug surrenderers have the most frequency with occurrence of 947 which is equivalent to 97.93 % and the female drug surrenderers having a total frequency of 20 which is proportional 2.07 %. This indicates that most of the surrenderers were male. The nature of involvement indicates that majority of the surrenderers were drug users because drug surrenderers with the most number was the drug users, which has an aggregate frequency of 949 which is equivalent to 98.14% and the drug pushers which has an aggregate frequency of 20 which is identical to 1.86%. | en_US |
