In most colleges or universities, students who drink liquor can easily found in places near the schools such as stores, bars etc. It is in the context that the researchers have conducted this study for them to identify the different reasons of students drinking liquor in UM Digos College. A quantitative design was employed in the conduct of this study that primarily focuses on descriptive type of research method by which the researchers personally administered questions to 180 students in UM Digos College with permission from the school. The profile of the participants analyzed according to sex, age and course. The results revealed that the level of the reasons of drinking liquor among students in UM Digos College was high for the three indicators, which is the suppression, disinhibition, and confident booster, which entails that it is oftentimes manifested. Thus, there is no significant difference in levels of reasons of drinking alcohol when participants are analyzed by sex, age and course. Furthermore, students' perception of drinking liquor in UM Digos College is to feel relax, forget troubles, to socialize others and to boost their confidence. Hence, it is alarming that student drink liquor as a way to cope with stress, instead of involving themselves in recreational activities. Lastly, the researchers recommended that the school should offer an awareness program or a seminar about the effects of too much drinking liquor. Further, students should be given an assistance and guidance on how to cope up stress, depression, sense of belongingness, and to find or involved themselves on some activities instead of drinking liquor.
