dc.description.abstractPast research has shown that theft and robbery is prevalent to this modern age. The study uses the secondary data of research from Bansalan Municipal Police Station. This study focuses on observable crime, which is operationalized as theft and robbery reported in the Municipality of Bansalan, Philippine National Police Station in the year 2010-2014. The goal of this study is to identify what are the profiles of offenders that commit theft and robbery, what fiscal year the theft and robbery rate is high, and what is the difference of theft and robbery rate in the Municipality of Bansalan. The findings determined that for the year 2010-2014 the highest theft rate was in fiscal year 2014 and highest robbery rate was in fiscal year 2013. The researchers would like to recommend that the Local Government Unit must pay attention on the rate of theft and robbery on the Municipality of Bansalan, Davao del sur that they may find solution like installing Closed Circuit televisions (CCTV’s) on public areas to reduce the occurrence of crime, to the law enforces that they must implement police visibility on public areas to ensure the least occurrence of crime. And the community must cooperate with the police officers like reporting to the police whenever there is a crime committed.en_US
