GRANTED PROFILE OF PAROLE AND PROBATION CASES IN DIGOS CITY: BASIS FOR THE FORMULATION OF COMMUNITY RE-ENTRY PROGRAM FOR EX-CONVICTS

Abstract

This study is a profiling of granted parolees and probationers case in Digos City which is the basis for the formulation of community re-entry program for ex- convicts. It also aimed to determine the population of inmates of the Digos City District Jail in the year 2014-2016 and to assess the cases granted under the Parole and Probation law in Digos City for the year 2014-2016 which includes the Profile of the respondents, namely: gender, skills and educational attainment. Lastly, what are the possible intervention programs formulated after the results of the study. The results revealed that the highest population of inmates was in the year 2016 and mostly where the male inmates are granted the probation. It was found out that the highest cases committed were mostly the crimes against person. In terms of educational attainment, the highest attainment of all the respondents were those in the high school levels and in terms of skills, most of the respondents were into farming.
