Accidents on roads remained an unresolved concern and reported to kill and injure thousands of lives in the world. With its prevalence and ceaseless existence, the future risks brought by accident were found to be primarily rooted in the driver's carelessness and physical discrepancies. This paper aimed to investigate the awareness levels of the people, especially to students who have vehicles on their own in attending classes to traffic rules and regulations. Further, the study sought to answer how this awareness level differs from each person and how this plays an enabling factor for the maintenance of safety and security on the road. With the employment of descriptive-comparative research design, 295 UM Digos College students were randomly selected on answering the standardized questionnaire. Results revealed that the students' level of awareness on general traffic rules and road safety is high. Also, there is no significant difference when their levels of awareness of traffic rules and regulations are analyzed according to their sex, age, address, and attendance to driving school. This explains that their awareness of traffic rules and regulations in spite of their individual variations of the profile are of almost the same levels and do not differ.en_US
