EFFECTIVENESS OF BARANGAY DEFENSE SYSTEM: BASIS FOR AN ACTION PLAN

Abstract

This study employed a descriptive survey method to determine the level of effectiveness of Barangay Defense System Basis for an Action Plan. Among the 22 Barangays there are three (3) barangays were chosen as respondents such as Barangay Tacul, Bacungan, Magsaysay, for this chosen barangays are the top 3 largest eras. Data were interpreted using the following statistical tools like the Mean and the Standard Deviation to determine the level of effectiveness through the perception of the respondents. On the level of effectiveness of Barangay Defense System, Mean and Standard Deviation used to determine the level of effectiveness. For comparative nature of the study, different barangay are different result of level of effectiveness. Based from the findings of the study, the researchers recommended that improved vigorous and conspicuous mobilization for preventive patrol by the greater number of Barangay Tanods, Police in location where crimes is most prevalent. Massive Organization and Training Programs, Education for Awareness and Assessment to lesser the crimes. "The Assessment of the police communication has enough facilities to response in times of emergency situation.
