Every year, millions of people die and get injuredas a result of road traffic crashes due to driver distraction. These deaths and injuries have an immeasurable impact on families and communities as they tragically and irrevocably change people’s lives. It is in the context that the researchers conducted this study to determine the level of awareness on RA No. 10913 or also know as anti-distracted driving act among the motorist in Digos City. This study made use of quantitative-descriptive research method with 101 participants who were randomly selected to answer 10 validated questions which primarily focuses on the awareness of RA No. 01913.
Based on the data gathered, it was found out that most of the participants are male, drivers got the highest frequency of 94 (93.1%). Also, with regards to the type of motorist, the public vehicle got the highest frequency of 76 (75.2%). Moreover, as to the age of the participants, most of them are from the age of 26 and above got the highest frequency of 71 (70.3%). In addition, based on the data gathered, it clearly revealed that most the participants are aware what is anti-distracted driving but they are not aware that any person who shall violate any provision of RA No. 10913 or also known anti-distracted driving shall have corresponding penalties.
