dc.description.abstractThis study conducted to determine the effectiveness of Philippine National Police (PNP) in crime prevention and suppression. The researchers aim to determine the extent of effectiveness of Philippine National Police (PNP) in crime prevention and suppression. The study was conducted using the descriptive correlation method of research by which the researcher’s personality administered the question to the Barangay Officials with the sample size of 50 study participants. Based on the gathered findings, findings determined that the extent effectiveness of Philippine National Police (PNP) in crime prevention and suppression in terms of primary prevention, secondary prevention and tertiary prevention is high. The significant relation between the effectiveness of Philippine National Police in crime prevention and suppression was tested below 0.05 level of significance. There is no significant relation between the effectiveness of Philippine National Police in crime prevention and suppression. Based on the findings and conclusions, the researchers recommended that the Police Administration will reveal the facts and evaluate the crime rates of their department to enable the officers to enhance the aim, vision and goals of the PNP.en_US
