| dc.description.abstract | This research aimed to know the prevalence of RA 9165 in Digos City for the year 2017-2018. The researchers used secondary data gathered from Digos City Police Station. The result of the research showed that the highest violations of RA 9165 were on January 2017 and the lowest violations of RA 9165 were on March 2018. The prevalence of RA 9165 in Digos City for the year 2017-2018 showed that it is unequal and not congruent to each other including barangay, incident type, suspect's age, gender and occupation. It showed that violations on January 2017 to August 2018 are changing from worst to better in unending prevalence of RA 9165 in Digos City for the year 2017-2018 categorized with occupations, gender, age, incident type and barangay. In the light of the findings and conclusions of the study, the following recommendations were offered, first is the cooperation between the civilian and the authorities must be strengthened in order to minimize the occurrence in violating RA 9165, second the police officer of Digos City should extend more effort towards drug related activities, for example, they should conduct seminars regarding RA 9165, so the people will be deterred in committing it, third is the police authorities must be responsive and be more visible to the community and must implement RA 9165 fairly and without prejudice and lastly, future researchers can use this study as a reference in getting the reason behind this unending prevalence of RA 9165 in Digos City despite the strong practice in eliminating this crime as one of the platforms of the Duterte administration. | en_US |
