dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the correctional officers in Digos City District Jail. In terms of approach to work and personal beliefs, interaction to the case manage, and personal style of communication, and further find if there is a significant difference in the degree of effectiveness of jail officers when analyzed according to their socio-demographic profile. This study employed comparative-descriptive quantitative research and used a standardized quantitative survey questionnaire adapted from Smith (2018), and randomly sampled Jail Officers as participants. The results revealed that the majority of the participants were male, 41 years and above, and mostly, their ranks were JO1 who have been working in the jail for 1-5 years. Further, the level of effectiveness of Jail Officers in terms of the three indicators aforementioned was high. It was also concluded that there is no significant difference in the jail officers' effectiveness when analyzed according to their socio-demographic profile. Cityen_US
