dc.description.abstractThe study aimed to assess the crime rates recorded in the Municipality of Sulop, Davao del Sur for the fiscal years 2013 to 2017. It employed a descriptive method of research design in describing the crime rates recorded. Participants of the study were the violators recorded in the Municipality of Sulop, Davao del Sur for the fiscal years 2013 to 2017. Data were retrieved from records indicated in the blotter/record book system of the Police Station. Findings revealed that when it comes to index crime, the highest occurrence of crime recorded from 2013 to 2017 was physical injury (crimes against persons) whereas the least recorded crime is rape and theft (crime against property). Moreover, when it comes to the crimes committed in terms of non- index crimes, most prevalent non-index crime recorded is on year 2013 and the least prevalent is on the year 2015. Further, common crimes recorded from 2013 to 2017 are physical injury, theft and robbery.en_US
