Rate Of Road Accidents in Municipality of Sta.Cruz in the year 2016-2018

Abstract

Road accidents happen anywhere anytime, when it happens it cost damages and even our lives. This could be prevented by being vigilant to the surroundings, and be extra careful in driving. The study aimed to determine the rate of road accidents in Municipality of Sta. Cruz for the year 2016-2018. This is to inform everyone the importance of road safety to avoid future accidents that may result to fatalities, injury and damage to property. The study used secondary data as source of data and employed quantitative method type of research. Based on the findings, year 2018 has the highest frequency of 38.24% (rate of road accident in Municipality of Sta. Cruz in the year 2016- 2018) and injury is often the results of road accident with the frequency of 56.41%. The local community of Sta. Cruz should conduct symposium with regards to road accidents in every barangays and to discuss its impact to every one's lives. The prospective circumstances could be prevented by installing warning signs and devices (like end of four lanes and accident prone area signage and etc.).
