Family life patterns and quality of friendship among private secondary school students
Abstract
The study aimed to determine which of the domains in family life patterns best
influences the quality of friendship among private secondary students. The
quantitative non-experimental design using correlational technique was used in
the study involving 196 students of SY 2016-2017. The statistical tools used in
the study were Mean, Pearson- r, and Regression. The study revealed a high
level of family life patterns and a very high level of quality of friendship of
students. The study also found out a significant relationship between family life
patterns and quality of friendship among students. Further, the study revealed
that the combined domains of family life patterns significantly influenced the
quality of friendship among students. Among the domains of the family life
patterns, appreciation and affection was the only domain that best influences
quality of friendship.
