Attitude towards physical education and well-being of students of Surigao del Sur State University
Abstract
The study sought to determine the level of students' attitude towards physical education and well-being of Surigao del Sur State University. The respondents included 312 Physical Education 3 students enrolled in the first semester of academic year 2011-2012 of Surigao del Sur State University. A researcher-constructed questionnaires were administered and data gathered were statistically treated using the Mean and Pearson Product Moment Correlation.
Results of the study revealed that the level of students' attitude towards physical education of Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU) in terms of the three components of attitude is high and the level of well-being of students of SDSSU in terms of the six components is high; and there is a significant relationship between the level of the students' attitude towards physical education and their wellbeing in terms of the six components. This implies that the attitude of students towards Physical Education is related to their well-being. Furthermore, the well-being of students is dependent on their attitudes towards Physical Education.
