dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to determine the influence of BS-Accountancy students' library utilization towards their academic performance using quantitative-qualitative descriptive-inferential method. Secondary data were used namely library utilization records of all BS-Accountancy students (A.Y. 2014-2015) and Grade Weighted Average of Top 20 BS-Accountancy students and in order to validate the results, interview was conducted to the chosen respondents using purposive sampling. Frequency, Percentage, and Pearson Product – Moment Correlation Coefficient were the statistical tools used. Results revealed that the determination of the extent of library utilization of all BS-Accountancy students including the chosen respondents are the following:Reserve Service attained 77% as the highest percentage, followed by an Internet Service as 10%; Circulation Service was 9%; Periodicals Service had 2%; and both Online Databases (Proquest and Ebrary) and Multimedia Service had 1% only which is the lowest percentage. It was also concluded that there is a weak positive relationship between library utilization of Top 20 BS-Accountancy (both very proficient and advance) students towards with their academic performance; thereby accepting the null hypothesis.
