The purpose of this developmental study is to design a device that automatically segregates common wastes at the University of Mindanao. The machine separates the wastes into three categories. The researchers use metal, dry and wet as their category. Infrared sensor, capacitive sensor, and the inductive sensor are used to determine the classification of the waste. After it undergoes series of sensors, a microcontroller reads all the information gathered by the sensors and send a command to the servo motors. The servo motor pushes the waste and lets it fall into its specific bin. With the result and data gathered in trials, the proponents have concluded that the device has achieved the stability that all the wastes sorted are accurate.
