Workplace spirituality and epistemological beliefs of secondary teachers
Abstract
This study determined which domain in workplace spirituality significantly
influenced epistemological beliefs of secondary teachers. The significant
relationship among two variables were tested at the 0.05 level of significance.
The quantitative non-experimental method of research utilizing correlational
technique was used.The data from 188 secondary teachers from Malalag,
Padada, Hagonoy, Sulop, and Kiblawan was collected using a survey
questionnaire. Appropriate statistical tools were used to interpret the data
gathered. It was found out that workplace spirituality showed a positive
relationship with epistemological beliefs among secondary teachers from
MAPAHASUKI in the Division of Davao del Sur, Region XI, Mindanao,
Philippines. The indicators of workplace spirituality that significantly influenced
the secondary teacher’s epistemological beliefs were connection and
transcendence. The study will be beneficial to both students and teachers in
enhancing their spiritual beliefs and will in experiencing a healthy teaching learning environment.
