Transactional leadership of school heads and classroom behavior of secondary teachers

Abstract
The study aimed to determine which domain of transactional leadership of school heads significantly influence classroom behavior. It employed quantitative non experimental research design using correlational technique. The study used the survey questionnaires which were administered to 128 teachers of the four secondary schools of Baganga, Davao Oriental in the School Year 2014-2015. Statistical tools used to analyze data were the Mean, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation and Regression. Findings revealed that the school heads have high level of transactional leadership. It also showed that teachers manifested very high level on classroom behavior. Moreover, transactional leadership of school heads had significant relationship with the classroom behavior of teachers. Lastly, contingent reward was the domain in transactional leadership that influences teacher classroom behavior.
