Teamwork skills and professional disposition of teachers
Abstract
The study aimed to determine which domain of teamwork skills best influences
the professional disposition of teachers. The study utilized a quantitative non–
experimental research using correlational technique to 277 public school
teachers in New Corella District School Year 2016 – 2017 using universal
sampling method. Mean Pearson – r and Linear regression where the statistical
tools used in the study. Teamwork skills showed a rating of very high level while
professional disposition was high level. There was a significant relationship
between teamwork skills and professional disposition. Teamwork skills were
significant predictors of professional disposition of teachers. Among the six
indicators of teamwork skills, only three showed significant influence on
professional disposition. However, among the three domains, decision-making is
the domain that best influences professional disposition.
