dc.description.abstractThis study determined which domain of teaching styles best influences students’ attitude towards mathematics. The study utilized quantitative, non-experimental research design using correlational technique. The respondents were 258 students from a National High School in Carmen. Two adapted and modified questionnaires were validated by the experts and were used in gathering the data. The statistical tools used for the data treatment were Mean, Pearson-r, and Regression Analysis. The results revealed that the level of teaching styles was high, and attitude of students towards mathematics was also high. Further, the result revealed a significant relationship between teaching styles and attitude of students towards mathematics and it was confirmed that when the teaching styles of mathematics teacher were always practiced, the attitude of students towards mathematics was manifested all the time. Lastly, the two domains that significantly influenced in their singular capacities, the attitude of students towards mathematics were the evaluation techniques and educational philosophy. The other domains of teaching styles also significantly influenced the student attitude but need the support of other domains. Evaluation techniques is the domain that best influences attitudes of students towards mathematics.
