dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to determine what domain in facilitating behavior of teachers significantly best influences student engagement in Caraga North District, Davao Oriental, Philippines. The study used quantitative, non-experimental research design using correlational technique. The 296 Grade six students were the respondents determined using the universal sampling procedure. Adapted survey questionnaires were used to gather data for facilitating behavior of teachers and student engagement. Moreover, mean, Pearson r and Regression Analysis were used as statistical tools. The result showed that the level of teachers’ facilitating behavior was very high and the level of student engagement was very high. Further, data revealed that there was a significant relationship between the facilitating behavior of teachers and student engagement and that the overall the teachers’ facilitating behavior significantly influences student engagement. In their singular capacities, attentive behavior, respectful behavior, and knowledgeable behavior of teachers can significantly influence student engagement, but only knowledgeable behavior best influences student engagement.
