Quality of life of farmer beneficiaries of Philippine coconut authority (PCA) projects : basis for intervention scheme

Abstract

This study determined the significant differences in the level of quality of life of beneficiaries when analyzed in terms of Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) service and support through programs and projects which are Planting/Replanting; Rehabilitation and KAANIB Enterprise Development Project (Intercropping). A validated questionnaire was used in gathering the pertinent data needed in the study. Moreover, non-experimental quantitative descriptive method was used in analyzing data from 300 farmer beneficiaries of the PCA Projects as respondents. Data analyzed using mean and t-test, revealed a high level of quality of life. The overall result implied that there was a significant difference in the quality of life of farmer beneficiaries between Planting/Replanting, Rehabilitation and KEDP (Intercropping). The quality of life of farmer beneficiaries with KEDP (Intercropping) was higher than that of Planting/Replanting; Rehabilitation. The result was used as the basis for an intervention scheme.
