dc.description.abstract | This study was conducted to determine the performance level in reading comprehension of the 3rd year criminology students as the basis for an enhancement program. The researchers aim to determine the significance of the relationship between the demographic profile and performance level in reading comprehension. The study was conducted using the descriptive-correlation method. The researchers used standardized questionnaires taken from the website. The study resulted in data and findings to determine the performance level in reading comprehension skills that the resulted is very satisfactory. The significant relationship between performance level in reading comprehension and demographic profile of the respondents was tested below 0.05 level of significance. Thus, the decision on Ho: is not significant which means that there is no significant relationship between two variables. Based the findings and conclusions the researchers would recommend that the distribution of respondents in terms of type of school graduated must be equal and fair in delivering strategies to the students, there should be a remedial instruction to the students so that the students acquire not only very satisfactory rating but also an outstanding in performance level of comprehension skills. Furthermore, the students must be treat equally regardless of their sex and will not be with discriminated especially those low performance level. The use of differentiated strategies in the classroom is also recommended. | en_US |
