dc.description.abstractThis study determined which domain of interpersonal teacher behavior best influenced students’ communicative competence in a secondary public high school. Using descriptive correlational research, there were 258 students as respondents. The researcher adapted research instruments both for interpersonal teacher behavior and communicative competence of students. The Mean, Pearson-r, and Regression were used to treat the data. The results revealed that the level of interpersonal teacher behavior was moderate, which meant that it was sometimes manifested, and communicative competence of students was high, which meant that, it was oftentimes evident. Results further showed that when the perception of the teacher interpersonal teacher behavior was high, the communicative competence of students was also high. No domain of interpersonal relationship of teachers best influenced the communicative competence of students. However, all the domains were necessary for the combined impact so that interpersonal relationships of teachers can significantly influence the students’ communicative competence.
