dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to determine which domain of ideology on masculinity
among male employees of a government owned and controlled corporation best
influenced their perception on sexual harassment behavior. This study used
quantitative, non-experimental descriptive method. Respondents were 264 male
employees determined using stratified sampling. Data were produced through survey
questionnaires and descriptive statistics was applied to analyse data gathered from
the respondents. In assessing the levels of variables, results showed that the
respondents demonstrated high level of ideology on masculinity while only moderate
level of perception on sexual harassment behavior. There was a significant
relationship between ideology on masculinity among male employees and their
perception on sexual harassment behaviour. Moreover, restrictive emotionality,
avoidance of femininity, dominance, and importance of sex were the domains of
ideology of masculinity that significantly influenced the perception on sexual
harassment behavior of the respondents in their single capacities. Among these
significant predictors, restrictive emotionality came out as the best predictor.
