The main purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between
personal factors and language learning among the 3rd Year BSED-English
students in the University of Mindanao. Using the descriptive correlational
analysis as the method of research and a validated questionnaire in the data
analysis, with mean and Pearson’s correlation analysis as the statistical tools,
results showed that there is a significant relationship between personal factors
and language learning. In order to improve the results even more, it is suggested
that school administrators couldinitiate to plan more programs that can help
enhance the students’ attainment towards the fulfillment of desirable learning
outcomes. Additionally, teachers can also design instructional activities that
can heighten students’ language learning even more. Furthermore, parents and
guardians must continue to be aware of the different personal factors of their
children to attain academic success.
