Lack of parental involvement in learning of children’s education results in
increasing the rate of failure in the school. This study aimed to identify the different
types of parental involvement in the learning of children. This study employed a
quantitative method. Questionnaires were administered to a sample of 19 parents
with children who are in grade three in the University of Mindanao, Basic Education.
The findings revealed that there was a high moderate positive response from the
respondents about parental involvements in the learning of their children. This study
provided some recommendations for further practice. Parents, when it comes to their
involvement, should strengthen in paying attention and provide their maximum
support in the education of their children. This study will benefit parents, children,
school as well as the entire community in general.
