Leadership style and performance of the selected barangay of officials in the municipality of Bansalan, Davao del Sur

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the level of leadership style and the level of performance of the barangay officials in Bansalan, Davao del Sur. The researchers aim to determine the significance of the relationship between the level of leadership style and the level of performance of the barangay officials. The study was conducted using the descriptive survey method of research by which the researchers administered personally the questions to the residents of the chosen barangay with a sample size of 100 participants. The study resulted in data and findings determined that the level of leadership style of the Barangay Officials is low, and the level performance is high. The significant relationship between the level of leadership style and the performance of Barangay officials was tested below 0.05 level of significance. Thus, the decision on Ho is significant which means that there is a significant relationship between two variables. Based on the findings and the conclusions the researchers recommended that the Barangay officials of Bansalan, Davao del Sur must retain or continue the good leadership style the Democratic style of leadership, they must continue the good performance in performing their duties and responsibilities and in providing comfort and good services to the community, and must strive more in giving a high regard on the services, they must create more infrastructure projects and must always adhere to better and wholesome services for the betterment of the barangay.
