Abstract
Compassionate leaders and competitive Social Work professionals are the products of the University of Mindanao Professional Schools. This study utilized qualitative-descriptive method to describe the employability characteristics of the twelve (12)respondents. Most of them occupied supervisory positions at the local, national, and international levels. Leadership and public relations highlighted the result of the skills acquired, while the least skills they developed are technology based and instructional skills. Some of the reasons that prompt them to stay long in their workplace are the attractive salary, fringe benefits and career challenges, however; career challenges on the downside are some of the reasons of their career shift. Philippine Association of Social Work Incorporated and National Association of Social Work Educators Inc. are highlighted on the graduates’ organizational involvement while, self-confidence and strong work ethics are the highest values developed all throughout their life in the field of social work practice. Secondly, honesty and integrity, professionalism dependability and self-motivation were developed as these were enshrined in the program educational objectives, as well as in the vision, mission and goals of the University of Mindanao. Furthermore to achieve best results, the program proposed an Action Plan which can be utilized to address weak areas of the Social Workers based on findings.
