Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the physical fitness as the major contributory role in the satisfactory performance of the PNP personnel of the Bansalan police station in terms of arrest, crime prevention and investigation. The descriptive survey method was used in the study. There are a total of thirty (30) respondents of the study. The study has the following finding which is that the majority of the PNP personnel perceived themselves on the role of physical fitness to their performance and believed that they were physically fit. It showed an overall mean value of 4.20 described as OFTEN and the majority of the PNP personnel perceived their peers on the role of physical fitness to believe that their comrades are physically fit. It showed an overall mean value of 4.12 described as OFTEN. Based on the findings of the study, the researchers recommended the following: First, there should be continuous physical activities/programs to be implemented to keep the mind and body healthy. Second, the researchers will recommend furthering a healthy lifestyle for the PNP personnel after all it would really reflect on their actual performance. And lastly, this study can be enhanced by comparing the results of this study with the actual result of the individual PNP personnel’s PFT result and through their standardized performance evaluation with their superiors.
