A tracer study of UM Tagum College Hotel and Restaurant Management graduates: 2006- 2012

The study traced the graduates of the Hotel and Restaurant Management
Program from school years 2006 to 2012. Then the general information,
educational background, and employment data were constructed. The
participants of the study were 250 graduates of Hotel and Restaurant
Management of UM Tagum College. Characterizations of the graduates were
done using descriptive method. This study used the Graduate Tracer Study
(GTS) questionnaire of the Commission of Higher Education (CHED) with slight
modifications. The results revealed that most of the respondents were
employed. It was also found out that their present jobs are related to the course
they took up in college. The findings of the study also show high employability
of Hotel and Restaurant Management graduates. Communication and human
relation skills are the primary competencies that can be attributed by the
graduates in their stay at UM Tagum College.
