dc.description.abstractThe study titled “THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL MEDIA EXPOSURE AND THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF GRADE VI STUDENTS IN MAMBAGO-A ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, DISTRICT II, IGACOS” used the descriptive-correlational design as it sought to determine the relationship between social media exposure and the academic performance of the students. The respondents to this study were the 36 Grade VI students officially enrolled in Mambago-A Elementary School, IGaCoS. Based on the data collected, the researchers discovered that first, the level of social media exposure of Grade VI students in Mambago-A Elementary School is very high and always manifested. Second, the student's level of academic performance is satisfactory. Finally, no significant relationship exists between social media exposure and the academic performance of Grade VI students at Mambago-A Elementary School, District II, IGaCoS. Based on the findings, the researchers advised the DepEd IGaCoS to strive to combine academic development programs that use various social media platforms to examine and look for different educational programs. School administrators are encouraged to be equipped with the necessary knowledge for promoting educational initiatives on social media. Teachers are recommended to facilitate the students in the classroom using social media to gather meaningful information in different educational programs to be used in the various subject matter. Students should be instructed to utilize social media to best position them for academic success and career advancement. Additionally, parents must be more active in observing their children's frequency and quality of social media use. This study could also be of great help to future researchers to intensify their study.en_US
