dc.description.abstractEmployees’ innovative work behavior helps increase organizational effectiveness and consequently be advantageous for its clienteles. In the educational context, organizational culture also plays a vital role in promoting innovative work behaviors among its employees especially the educators. This study was conducted to determine which domain in the organizational culture significantly influences the innovative work behaviors of employees among local private educational institutions in Bansalan, Davao del Sur, Philippines. The study used quantitative, non-experimental research design using correlational technique. The respondents of the study were the 113 teaching and non-teaching employees determined through complete enumeration technique. Mean, Pearson r and Regression Analysis were used as statistical tools. The result showed that both organizational culture and innovative work behaviors of employees were very high. Data also showed that there was a significant relationship between organizational culture and innovative work behaviors of employees. Furthermore, in its singular capacity, open communication was the best predictor of the innovative work behaviors of employees. Open communication helps improve employees’ innovative behaviors in terms of idea generation, opportunity exploration, championing, and application. Result implies that school leaders among local colleges should improve their ability to encourage open and shared decision making who value employees’ ideas and inputs, recognize organizational inquiry and establish autonomy in expressing organizational ideas.en_US
