EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND STUDENTS ACADEMIC SUCCESS OF GRADE 12 SENIOR HIGH IN UM PEÑAPLATA

Abstract

This study titled "Emotional Intelligence and Students Academic Success of Grade 12 Senior High in UM Peñaplata was conducted to determine the significant relationship between emotional intelligence and the students academic success of Grade 12 students. The researchers analyzed, evaluated, organized, and gathered the data through the study. The study was realized with the cooperation of the eighty-one students of Grade 12 Senior High of the University of Mindanao Peñaplata College. They were randomly selected and visibly present in the university and were considered the study's respondents through the use of the Random Sampling Technique. The study was a quantitative descriptive correlational research design. The statistical tools used in the study were mean and Pearson Product Moment Correlation. It is a method designed to determine if two or more variables are associated with each other. The descriptive method measures variables as they exist naturally, and the goal is to describe the variables. Based on the data gathered, the researchers found that the level of emotional intelligence generated a high mean score, and the academic success of Grade 12 students at UMPC generated a very high mean score. It is also found that there is no significant relationship between the Emotional Intelligence and Students Academic Success of Grade 12 Senior High in UM Peñaplata College
