Reading habits, perceptions, and preferences of gifted readers

The objective of this descriptive study was to describe the reading habits,
perceptions, and preferences of gifted readers. An approximate number of 77
respondents from the school where we conducted the study, were selected to answer
the questions in the research instrument for the researchers to formulate analysis on
the results. The findings of this study revealed that (a) gifted students, often read
books in their school library; (b) they often feel relax when they read; (c) they
preferred to read fantasy books as their first choice, humor books as their second
choice and mystery books as their third choice; (d) and considered comic books as
their first choice, animated books as their second choice and computer games as their
third choice of reading materials.
