ACADEMIC RESILIENCE AND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF 3rd YEAR BSED ENGLISH STUDENTS IN UM PEÑAPLATA COLLEGE
Abstract
The study aimed to determine the significant relationship between Academic Resilience and Academic Performance of 3rd year BSED English Students at UM Peñaplata College. The research applied a descriptive correlational survey design to locate the mean of the contrasting units conferring to the student's academic performance.
A Likert-type survey was administered to third-year BSED English students through total population sampling. The information was gathered from respondents and examined using mean and pearson-r as statistical techniques to determine academic resilience and performance. Results indicated that the Academic Performance of 3rd Year BSED English students was very high; this represents that learners have very high academic grades. Results further divulged that the level of academic resilience and academic performance of 3rd year BSED English students has an irrelevant t relationship between the two variables. This illustrates that academic resilience does not influence the grades of 3rd-year BSED- Students at UM Peñaplata College propose that their relationship is insignificant and that some other element or variable influences their success concerning resiliency. Teachers should keep their teaching strategy and methodology to maintain learners' results.
