The study assesses the level of financial literacy of public school teachers in Island Garden City if Samal. The study surveyed 200 public school teachers to investigate their level of financial literacy through survey questionnaires. The study was a quantitative descriptive comparative research design. The statistical tools employed were descriptive statistics specifically: Mean, T-test and ANOVA. It is a method designed to determine if two or more variables are associated with each other. The study reveals that many of the public school teachers obtains high financial literacy level. Hence, this is due to wide awareness of issues involving financial distress among public school teacher in the Philippines. This study then recommended the local government unit, more precisely the Dep Ed XI to maximize and enhance financial knowledge program and facilitate financial literacy week to assess and educate more teachers. Moreover, there is no significant difference between the level of financial literacy when analyzed according to the demographic profile of public school teachers in Island Garden City of Samal, Philippines.
