MONEY ATTITUDE OF EMPLOYEES OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT OF ISLAND GARDEN CITY OF SAMAL
Abstract
Money attitude is a lifelong learning experience. One of the important steps you can take toward achieving your potential in work is to learn to monitor your attitude and the impact of your work performance, relationships and everyone around you (Dylan Henry, 2016). In order to achieve the general research goal, this research paper employs questionnaire as the research instrument. A well-recognized scale, money attitude scale (MAS) with four dimensions (i.e. power-prestige dimension, retention time dimension, distrust dimension, and anxiety dimension) is introduced in the questionnaire to examine employees’ attitude towards money. Subsequently, it will examine how these dimensions in MAS affect influential attitudes. The sample consists of 400 employees of LGU Samal. Eventually, statistical results of the study are reported based on the analysis conducted. Throughout the analysis, the results clearly revealed that employees’ money attitude was defined as moderate and showed that items are sometimes manifested in the money attitude. It is found out that retention time in which people who rate high in this dimension are those who are concern about their financial future.
