BELIEF TOWARDS MONEY: A GENDER COMPARISON
Abstract
This study entitled “Belief Towards Money: A Gender Comparison.” was conducted to determine and describe the money beliefs of both males and females residents of Barangay Penaplata, Island Garden City of Samal. Through this study, the researchers were able to analyze, evaluate, organize, and gather data thoroughly, This study was with the cooperation of three hundred twenty-two (322) males and three hundred twenty-four (324) females respondents of Barangay Penaplata, IGaCoS residents. The type of research design that was used in this study is a descriptive-comparative. The descriptive method measures variable as exist naturally, and the goal is to describe the variable. The researchers adopted the questionnaire from the study of Klontz and Klontz (2009) also, checked and validated by the panel of examiners of this study. Based on the gathered, the researchers found out that there is a high level of money beliefs among the residents of Barangay Penaplata, Island Garden City of Samal in terms money vigilance, money status, money worship and money avoidance, respectively. Moreover, it was revealed that there is no significant difference in the level of money beliefs of the residents of Barangay Penaplata, Island Garden City of Samal when analyzed by gender.
