Abstract
There were five respondents taken for the study wherein each of them was given the chance to answer the questions prepared for them. The study was conducted to determine the main reason behind the almost-extinction of the Sama tribe in IGACOS, Davao del Norte. The result of the study is presented as follows: Majority of the respondents said that migration is the main reason why the Sama tribe members left in the past. Also, intermarriage is their way to maintain their surviving population. However, threats and dangers are not a factor to lose the members of the tribe. Correspondingly, the remaining Sama tribe members are most likely not to be extinct since their answers merely reflect on how they are willing to sustain the remaining population in terms of safety and security, migration, and intermarriages.
