dc.description.abstractThe study was conducted to measure the graduating hospitality students’ hard and soft skill competencies among selected schools in Davao City. The study used the descriptive-survey method. The respondents of the study were the graduating hospitality students (BS HRM) of selected schools in Davao City. A total of 243 students were taken as respondents in the study. The researchers constructed a survey-questionnaires and it tackled the level of soft skills and hard skills of hospitality students among selected schools in Davao City in terms of their corresponding indicators. The result of the study showed that the hospitality students’ level of soft skills was high while the level of hard skills was average. Moreover, there was no significant difference in the level of competencies both soft and hard skills of graduating hospitality students when analyzed by sex and age. However, there was a significant difference in the level of competencies both soft and hard skills of graduating hospitality students when analyzed by school. The results of the study could be the basis of the universities and colleges in employing effective teaching methods and incorporating soft and hard skills in the curriculum for the enhancement of the students’ competencies.
