Abstract
The primary purpose of the study was to determine the green tourism initiative among selected tourist cultural and historical attraction. Employing a descriptive survey design and using Frequency Count, Percentage, Mean and ANOVA, the findings of the study are shown as follows: the level of green tourism initiative among selected tourist cultural and historical attraction is high; and there is no significant difference on green tourism initiative among selected tourist cultural and historical attraction when analyze by age, sex, and educational attainment. The researcher recommend to preservation of our natural resources should be the number one priority when it comes to our cultural, historical, environmental, and other attractions that our tourists might visit. As well as we have a sayings that, “Prevention is better than cure”, this sayings is totally applied when it comes to our nature and natural resources, in order to prevent is to protect our resources before it’s too late, because the forces of our nature is incurable. Also the tourist attraction managers/owners should develop their respective areas to entice more tourist to visit and strive to add more attractions as well as services and amenities as add-ons. On the other hand, the TM students as future researchers should conduct a research study on the factors that attracts tourist to visit the cultural and historical attractions. And also the outcome of the study provides facts to the future researchers and expansive structure and methodology to the investigation of the standards, practices, and capacities of tourism.
