The primary purpose of the study was to determine the level of the freshmen readiness in hospitality profession. Using Mean, ANOVA, T-test and F-test as a statistical tool in treating the data, the findings disclosed the following: Majority of the respondents were female; the freshmen readiness in hospitality profession was neutral; and, there is no significant difference on the level of freshmen readiness in hospitality profession when analyzed according to their sex. However, there is a significant difference on the level of freshmen readiness in hospitality profession when analyzed according to respondents, age and school. The researchers recommended that the hospitality institute should administer pre-test exam for the students who enroll hospitality profession to measure the prior knowledge of the students. The result would be the baseline of the hospitality educators in teaching. On the other hand, the secondary curriculum should emphasize the importance of k to 12 program as implemented by the government, the curriculum before was generic so there are difficulties in measuring the students readiness in the hospitality industry. Further, the College of Hospitality Education should prepare to cater student’s readiness in the hospitality industry. Educators should teach and train freshmen college students, the skills and competencies needed in the hospitality industry and lastly, the future researcher’s should study on the skills requirements particularly in the hospitality industry so as to give the readers more important knowledge. Further, they should also get the exact population sampling formula to have an exact number of respondents. Keywords: Freshmen Readiness, Hospitality Professionen_US
