dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to determine the farming methods and productivity level of spring onions farmers in Sitio Balutakay Barangay Managa, Bansalan, Davao del Sur. The methods used in this research is through providing and distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews to the spring onion farmers about their methods of farming in terms of land preparation, methods of fertilizing and the types of fertilizer they used in sustaining their vegetable. The study shows that there is significant difference in the farming methods and productivity level of spring onions terms of their age, sex, civil status, educational attainment, number of years in farming and number of area per hectare when the data are analyzed. The results of the finding showed that there is a high possibility in the increase of harvests through the enhancement of farming methods from traditional to conventional methods and the use of new technology. Based on the findings of this study, the researchers would suggest that the farmers should practice intercropping system growing of different vegetables in one garden can increase soil fertility that will also increase the production level of spring onions of farmers.en_US
