dc.description.abstractThe study was made to determine the level of competence of barangay tanod as first responder based on their response time, preservation of crime scene, traffic control and coordination with the PNP. The study was conducted among 241 respondents from 14 barangays in Talomo Sub-Districts of Davao City utilizing a self-constructed questionnaire. The study found out that the level of competence of barangay tanod as first responder based on response time, preservation of crime scene, traffic control and coordination with the PNP is effective and able to be trusted in any type of urgent emergencies. There is no significant difference on the level of competence of barangay tanod as first responder based on their response time, preservation of crime scene, traffic control and coordination with the PNP when analyzed by sex, age and educational attainment.
