"This study employs the quantitative type of research to investigate the demographic profile and offenses committed by detainees in Davao City Jail thus, this research uses descriptive method to establish the relationship between offenses and demographic profile the said respondents. The researchers have randomly selected the respondents that comprise of 1000 detainees. The demographic profile consists of Religion, Civil status , Tribal affiliation and offenses. The result reveal the highest frequency of commission of crime in terms of civil status, which is single. In terms of religion, the the catholic and muslim have the highest frequency of involvement of crimes. The tribal affiliation the Bisaya has the highest frequency with 56.4% and finally, the offenses which is the violation of comprehensive drugs act has the highest frequency.
