THE EFFECTS OF STORYTELLING RECOGNIZING NUMBERS AND NUMBER SENSE ON GRADE II PUPILS IN ANONANG ELELMENTARY SCHOOL

This study aimed to determine the effect of storytelling in Recognizing Numbers and Number sense in Anonang Elementary School. This study was realized with the cooperation of a total of forty-eight (48) pupils, Twenty-eight (28) pupils from the controlled group and twenty-eight (28) pupils from experimental group, who were considered as respondents of the study. Employing experimental method as research design, questionnaire in gathering data with average weighted mean and T-Test for independent samples as statistical tools. The mean gain scores of the experimental group which is 5.38 and the controlled group which is 1.54.P-value of .000, the difference between the experimental and controlled group which is 3.84, this means that there is a significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group who are exposed to storytelling. Must find ways to enhance the skills of the learners to recognized numbers and number sense to make way for the improvement of their performance in math and they should give constant monitoring to their learners regarding mathematics lessons to give the right assessment.
