| dc.description.abstract | The primary aimed of this paper was to find out the significant relationship
between goal orientation and personality trait of non-commissioned police
officers. Furthermore, it was also designed to determine which domain of goal
orientation that significantly influences the personality trait of non-commissioned
police officers. The respondents were chosen using stratified random sampling
technique and identified 306 non-commissioned police officers in Compostela
Valley Province deployed in different unit of Provincial Police Office to be the
sample respondents using Slovin's formula. This research utilized a quantitative
non-experimental research method employing the correlational technique.
Adapted survey questionnaires were used to determine the level of goal
orientation and personality trait of non-commissioned police officers. The
research used as well Mean, Pearson-r, and Regression Analysis to interpret the
data collected. Results of the study showed that goal orientation and personality
trait of non-commissioned police officers of Compostela Valley Provincial Police
Office were rated high. Furthermore, there was also a significant relationship
between goal orientation and personality trait of non-commissioned police
officers. Finally, it was found out that goal orientation significantly influence the
personality trait of non-commissioned police officers through the indicators:
