| dc.description.abstract | This study identifies the perceptions of the citizens to the level of public safety in Tagum City in terms of national security, border strategy, counter crime and emergency management. It made use of a quantitative research design with 100 respondents from the city’s Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel. To analyze the data, the statistical tool was used as the mean. The study revealed that the public safety in Tagum City is very much observed. Moreover, the emergency management is assessed as the highest mean indicating a strong administration of safety and awareness campaigns. This study also presented an intervention scheme for the city which promotes a strengthened implementation of Border Strategies such as checkpoints at the borders and establishing standby mobile for PNP. | en_US |
